How can I dress up a black silk dress to wear to a May wedding?

I have a beautiful silk black shawl collar dress for my daughter's wedding. I was wondering how to dress it up with color of shoes, jewelry, etc. for a wedding in May in NYC. My hair is being worn down and about shoulder length.|||i would try throwing a simple flower in your hair (any spring color) or maybe a colored headband. for shoes i would find some strapy yellow or pink heals. Just accessorize with color and i think youll look great!|||An elegant and sophisticated way to go with your black silk dress is to wear black shoes with some glitzy / statement jewelry and carry a silver metallic or black handbag. Silver metallic color shoes, glitzy jewelry and a black clutch bag sounds NYC, too. If you want to introduce a color something that is the same color of the bridesmaids dresses like a pashmina shawl will work. You can always wear black shoes and wear pearls or a colored necklace.|||If you can, and the opportunity presents itself, you can tie a long bright-colored ribbon just under your bust and tight it off in a bow at your back or on the side. Then, whatever color you've chosen, get matching colored shoes. Bling it out with corresponding colored jewelry and maybe curl your hair...? It's hard to imagine the dress without seeing it. Good luck and have fun!|||for a wedding you shoul dkeep it classic, but you can wear any color pumps as long as they are a simple design/frame. you coul salso do i a larger bibnecklace, that fits in the neckline because it'll frame your face beautifaully. if you're set on wearing our hair down thtas fine, but also cionsider a pretty and simple up do. it'll be hot in may. Sorry i cant help you more but consider the location and vibe of the wedding lik eif its outside or inside, and if its very fancy or laid back|||I think you should stay classy and sophisticated. A pretty necklace featuring pearls and crystals or rhinestones would look lovely and would really pop against the black dress. I would pair your dress with black heels and a cute ivory jacket and black and ivory head piece (maybe with feathers...) Hope that helps!|||What I usually do when I am trying to dress up a dress is take a colorful silky scarf and tie it around my waist like a ribbon, I find that it adds nice color and dresses it up for the season without having to put in too much effort.

Hope this helps!

Good Luck!|||wear diamonds, pearls, or other semi- precious gems

wear killer looking shoes ( in the brides colors)|||i would wear a floral headband and some pearls shoes can match the headband
