What do you know about a silk comforter?

I've just heard about silk comforters - are they really as great as down? There's also some info at Wikipedia|||My uncle got this in their master bed i had to admit the texture is way different than most cotton based comforter this what i called real comfort comforters, very soft. silk comforter is kinda like u sleeping back, u notice sleeping back outside is very soft kinda like this one but is all around.
