I stained my favorite tie a couple of days ago while eating and used a towel with a bit of water to remove the stain. Unfortunately I rubbed a bit to hard and now the color in that area has faded.
It's not a big area but I was wondering if there any tips on treating silk which would make the faded area somehow darker and thus less visible? The tie is a deep purple color.
Thanks for your suggestions|||If the fabric is faded, then the color has been removed. I do not think you can restore it unless you use some type of fabric paint that is an exact match for the rest of your tye.
