How much would a silk fabric cost a yard?

Does anyone know how much a silk fabric would cost at Wal-mart per yard or any other store and also what are the care instructions.

Lace (any fiber) how much would it cost and care instructions?

satin (any fiber) how much? and care instructions thanks!|||Check out one of the many online fabric stores for prices. Really beautiful quality silk will be expensive.

Silks and delicate fabrics, such as lace, require dry cleaning to ensure they retain their appearance.

Silk undies such as bras and panties could be handwashed, in cool water, with a mild detergent.|||There are so many different types of silk, it's hard to answer your question. Some silks wash beautifully in a machine and some need to be dry cleaned. It depends on what the use for them is as to what type you're looking for. They can range from inexpensive (comparable to cottons) to very expensive (shantung and hand-loomed) and everything in between.

Lace ranges from 10/yds for $1 for cotton eyelet at Walmart to $100s of dollars a yard for hand re-beaded Alencon'.

Satin is also dependent on type. (BTW, "satin" is a type of weave, not a fiber) Are you looking for a poly satin or a bridal or a duchess? A poly satin lining can be $1 yard, heavy satin for dressmaking can run $10/yd or more. Do you want a crepe back, or an Antique, or a silk satin? You can pay $50/yd or more for Antique slubbed Italian satin.

Without knowing what you need it for there's no way to say how much it will cost or anything else definte.
