What are all the products that were carried along during the Silk Road?

These are very hard to find. The only major product i know that was carried along on the Silk Road is, silk. I'm not really sure what the other products were.|||'Silk' actually ceased to be an important trade item from 533ad on, when two monks smuggled silkworm eggs from the Orient, and brought them to Constantinople. From then on, Europeans made silk for themselves.

The spices are very impt., pepper was almost the value of precious metals...because of its importance in preserving food; without refrigeration, you could have no meat at all in the winter unless it was heavily cured/peppered.

The only thing China wanted in return was silver...This was the one thing she was in short supply of; for some reason gold was not in high demand, and she had no need for Western manufactured goods.

(on silk)|||This road had many branches connecting three distant continents and several major civilizations for two millennia. Goods flowed both ways. Beside silks, Europe and Middle East imported diamonds that were at that time only found in India, precious stones, spices, papers, glass, mirrors, slaves, and fruits. Peaches originated in China and oranges in Vietnam traveled these roads to West. Apricots that grew only around Caucasus were spread to Europe and China; and plums from Balkans could be found all the way in China. Europe/Middle East exported crafted goods, amber, wine, steel, armory, and bronze, copper, or iron bars. Steel was first used in mass by Hittites, but their descendants around present Turkey mastered the process before Chinese making iron very expensive in Egypt and Far East. The steel processing colonies produced quantum of iron ingots for external market and they can be found in Balkans, Small Asia, and Caucasus close to the trade roads. Africa and Middle East was interconnected as well, where ivory, precious stones, slaves, animals, textiles, glass was traded as well. Egyptian goods (glass and textile) were very popular in India, and Indian and Asian spices were needed in Egypt for preservation of bodies. The market was also changing depending on the taste and the wealth of the customers; therefore, some products had disappeared overtime.|||opium, tea, dates, figs, frankensence, myrh,g鈥?such as saffron and pepper.|||I imagine salt and various spices, both of which are valuable in trade.|||Everything that Europe doesn't have and Asia have.
