How to clean and preserve silk shoes?

I know that wedding dresses can be cleaned and preserved (just had that done), but what about the shoes? They have leather soles and beaded silk uppers, and have more than a little salt damage (they were worn last winter). Soap and water is probably out, as is standard dry cleaning. Any ideas?|||Take them to the dry cleaners.
