How can I remove grease stains from a silk skirt?

I accidentally split oil, could be olive oil, onto my skirt. Sprayed it with Vanish and washed it on a delicate wash but the stains have not gone. It is a silk skirt and says dry clean. Any ideas how to remove oil? Thanks|||Things You鈥檒l Need:

Cornstarch

Liquid dish detergent

How to Remove Grease Stains From Silk

Step1Flatten the section of silk with the stain on it. Clothes or drapes can easily lie flat. If the stain is on a piece of furniture, smooth the section of fabric.

Step2Sprinkle cornstarch on the stain. Pat the cornstarch into the stain, pressing to make a thick layer. Leave the cornstarch on the stain for 24 hours.

Step3Brush the cornstarch away from the stain and shake the piece of silk or brush it hard (if it is on a piece of furniture). The cornstarch should absorb the grease. If more cleaning is required, continue with Step 4.

Step4Rub a small amount of liquid dish detergent into the grease stain on the silk. Let it sit for a few hours.

Step5Rinse the dish detergent from the stain. Let the fabric dry.|||I would take it to a good drycleaners, show them the stain and tell them what you think it is, and let them handle it. Otherwise I think your chances are good that it will get ruined. Good luck!
