What is the most effective method for removing blood stains from silk?

We have a comforter that is covered with a silk outer lining, and it got a couple blood stains on it. What is the best way to remove the blood stains without dissolving, bleaching, or otherwise damaging the silk?|||OxyClean is good at getting out blood, and it won't harm the silk either. I have a silk robe and got some blood on it from a nose bleed, and it came right out. Hope this helps.|||OkyClean never worked on anything for me. Total waste of money. Peroxide and a soft toothbrush will get blood out.

|||Ammonia removes the protien of blood and peroxide removes some remaining tint. please confirm with professional.|||You must take it to the cleaners, People are trying to spot clean silk themselves and that's a mistake. Once silk is wet and you start rubbing it you can chafe and break off the surface fibers. Kaput"Ruined. What's more lots of silks are treated with water soluble sizing that will leave a ring if you try to remove a spot yourself.
